John Adams likely didn't claim to be a prophet or the son of one. Yet he clearly foresaw that, with moral decline would come the loss of value & ultimate utility of our Republic's legal foundation. A morally lawless people eventually casts off the moral restraints of their forefathers. Government can't save us—only God can.
